Christmas Concert Cancelled

UCC Christmas Concert was cancelled due to the storm so NO PICTURES. So off for the holidays and a few weeks of NOT having practice, I don't know who was more excited the kids or the teachers.

Debbie Sassy Crankypants The Frycook

Marielle has a new name and I am the first to publish about this. She now likes to be called Debbie. I decided that it should be Debbie Sassy Crankypants The Frycook. She doesn't enjoy being called Sassy and Crankypants, but it fits her best. I'm thinking of adding Big Chairmen to it also. Maybe not the big but Chairmen, definately.

Philharmonic Evening at the Pops Concert

It has been a windy and cold day here . Today UCC had their Christmas Performance with the Philharmonic Orchestra. It was awesome. We wanted to post pictures BUT we not allowed to take any due to musician union rules, so we will take and post some next Wednesday after their final concert before winter break. They have already been invited back next year.

We sang I'm Getting Nuthin for Christmas, Silent Night and Because it's Christmas.
I have tons of fun and learn a lot. I hope this group continues with the economy many parents are pulling their kids out of extra things but for us this is worth it. Hopefully we can get more and more children to join next year.

UCC Update

This week I will be singing with the Philharmonic Orchestra in our city. Mommy is excited and hopes to have a few cool pictures. I am kind of excited but mainly excited for Christmas break.

Lego Competition December 6th

The Lego Competition was on Saturday and my team won the Teamwork Trophy. We had to go to lots of Judging.We did really good in the Teamwork Judging. We had to build a tower from ten straws and tape. We were given 5 minutes to build the tower. We made a tepee type base from 5 straws and then taped straws up. We used scissors to cut up a straw. The pieces of straw were taped at the places where we taped straws together. In total we won the Teamwork trophy when Mrs. Decker, are principal, thought Hydepark, a middle school that I've considered going to, would win the Teamwork trophy.

Well its official she did have an eye infection BUT can go to school and the LEGO Robotics Competition on Saturday.

Yeah McKenna

I went to McKenna's parent teacher conference today and McKenna is doing very well. She got all A's. McKenna works very hard even on the subjects she hates.

Found out today that her teacher did challenge the principal and teacher of gate and successfully got McKenna into gate for the next two years. She is a great teacher and also taught in CHINA.
Also found out today on mad science day Miss McKenna wired a circuit that even the MAD SCIENCE professionals could not work out how to do.

This is the Week

The final countdown to the Lego Robotics Competition and McKenna is excited. We will have some pictures later in the week.

Also the Christmas concerts from UCC are coming up and we will post some pictures of her singing. This year they are getting to sing with the Las Vegas Philharmonic Orchestra a great honor.

Tribute to Grandpa

Well I just can't get the video to load and so we will attempt to upload it to You Tube and then give the link directly to the video.

Here is a first attempt of making a video. The video is pictures from Tinney Flats 2008 Trip.
We so miss our dad and grandpa. Remember that life is fragile and you never know which day may be your last. Live every day like it was your last. Family is the most important thing. I only wish I had a few more years with my dad, so many plans and dreams. Life changes when you loose someone and can affect many people different ways. I need to change and be more like my dad was so someday we will be together forever again.

Marielle still does not understand what living with Jesus means and wants to call grandpa NOW. All the grand kids thought the sun rose with Grandpa all had a special connection. McKenna is learning that when you pray for GODS will that sometimes sad things happen.

So hold tight to your family and friends and remember what is most important in life the relationships you make. The ache will come and go and hopefully I can make my dad PROUD and live a better example to all of CHRISTLIKE service. This post was by mommy.

LEGO CLUB

McKenna is applying for Lego/Robotics Club at her school. This year ten participants will be chosen for the competition team. We will let you know if McKenna is chosen.
She loves school and is doing very well.

Hawaii Here I COME

I take part in a University Childrens Choral UCC. Next Summer we are going to Hawaii to perform at the Pacific Rim Childrens Festival.
